MICHELE RIGHETTI will be back at Merlin Frame Maker & Art Gallery for another solo exhibition. His previous solo exhibition - ‘Paesaggi Remoti’ (Remote Passages) a collection of modern contemporary abstract landscapes at our gallery in May 2005 was a success. This coming month of June, we will be showcasing a brand new series of his artworks. The preview of his creations will be available soon.

Michele's exhibition in June is titled 'Sottili Percezioni' (Intimations of Perceptions).

The early Celtic people had a name for the places in nature where they felt close to eternity. They called them ‘the thin places’ because the wall separating them from creation and hence eternity, was thinner. The Italian word for ‘thin’ is ‘sottile’ (so-till-li), hence the title 'Sottili Percezioni', or, in the closest appropriate English translation – Intimations of Perceptions.

“Through my art,” says Michele, “I am able to partake in a masterpiece. I have epiphanies of the soul, ‘intimations of perceptions’, as it were, through which I receive glimpses of Eternity. And I am struck with the realisation of what an awesome, wild, and majestic world surrounds us”.
